Tournament background

The World Championship of Online Poker got its start back in 2002. The tournament ran from July 20 to July 28 that year. In 2006, the World Championship of Online Poker adds more variant events to its lineup.  One of which is Razz where the winner is the one who has the best Ace to five low hand. Another event is HORSE which is a mix of five poker games. The two variants became a main stay in all future tournaments.
