.)    Initially, players will be dealt with 2 cards face down and 5 community cards that are shown face up. With these 7 cards, they will try to make the best hand possible.

.)    After the cards are dealt, there will be a round of betting starting with the player to the left of the ‘blinds’. It is called the ‘preflop’ betting round and just like most poker variants, players can call, rise, or fold.

.)    When the betting round ends, the dealer will discard the top card of the deck to prevent cheating. This is called ‘burn card’. The next three cards will be flipped face up on the table. These are called communal cards that any of the players can use in combination with their 2 pocket cards so they can form another poker hand.

.)    Another betting round will start again and the aforementioned process will be repeated. Mostly, this is the part where the size of bets doubles.

.)    The dealer again ‘burns’ a card and will place a final card face up on the table. This is called the ‘River.’ Players can definitely use any of the five cards in the table or the two cards they have to form a hand.

.)    A final round of betting will be made. After this comes the ‘showdown’. Those players who have not ‘folded’ will reveal their hands.

.)    The player who shows the best hand wins! If there are several winners, they will split or divide the amount in the pot among them.
